Farm Description:
We rent 10 acres of certified organic pasture and rotate our animals around using electric fending and portable shelters. We don't believe in raising animals in confinement or in "shit yards". Our animals always have access to fresh pasture.
Practices:
We use all organic feed, we believe in humane treatment of animals (no debeaking, no wing clipping, no forced molting, no tail docking on the pigs), we butcher the animals on the farm when possible to control the process and make sure it is done humanely and sanitarily. We plant a mixture of pasture plants including clovers, vetches, mustards, and cereals to have a diverse diet for our animals.
Describe your product specialties and highlights:
Pasture-raised broiler chickens, laying hens for eggs, turkeys, and pigs. We feed only 100% certified organic feed in addition to fresh organic pasture.

Santa Cruz downtown farmers market on Wednesday afternoons,
Boulette's Larder restaurant in San Francisco,
Olfactory restuarant in Seaside (opening in June 06),
directly off the farm if pre-reserved,
Live Earth Farm CSA sells our eggs too
