Farm Description:
Crooked Sky Farms consists of several small fields in Glendale, Waddell, Duncan, Phoenix, and Young, Arizona. The locations of these fields are in different climate zones which allow for year round farming, and great produce diversity using many organic and heirloom seeds.
Practices:
Farmer Frank is committed to sustainable farming using organic and water conserving methods, and regionally appropriate crops. Crooked Sky Farms does not use chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, utilizing compost and mulch as fertilizer, and flood and drip irrigation.
Describe your product specialties and highlights:
Produce selection varies season to season, with over 70 varieties grown each season. Many organic and heirloom, and specialty varieties are grown. Winter crops supply a variety of cooking and salad greens, root vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, and citrus. As the year progresses, peas, tomatoes, corn, onion, cucumber, squash, melons, and many more fresh vegetables and fruits become available.
