Farm Description:
SheerLark Farm is a diversified, sustainable family farm located on 58 acres in the Appalachian foothills in north eastern Alabama. Our Certified Naturally Grown market garden area is approximately one-half acre in size and 2007 was our first year in commercial production. The remainder of the farm is in permanent pastures and woodlands which are sustainably maintained. We use no chemical herbicides, pesticides or synthetic chemical fertilizers on our pastures.

Practices:
We practice traditional crop rotations in our market garden area. Cover crops used are clovers and cereal rye.
