Farm Description: This farm has been here in Brunswick County and is being passed on to heirs of the Pat Mitchell family. The next generation is growing as we speak. As we become educated to the practices we can sustain we will put them in practice. Your help is appreciated in our project. "From our hands to your hands to your health."
Practices: As we learn about practices that we can put to work through our homeschooling activities, we are putting into practice several named farming practices: cover crops are in and being eaten (kale), row covers are being used. Field trips to successful farms and conversations with people who think we're crazy help motivate us to keep going.
