Farm Description:
I'm still a fairly small operation and am still acquiring the skills and know-how needed to supply a large variety of vegetables on a consistent (weekly) basis. My "farm" is located in the central part of Cochise County, Arizona. By spring of 2006 I will have 1/4 acre under intensive cultivation. In two years I will have about 2 acres under cultivation.

Practices:
Everything I do in my farm is with an eye towards the future and ensuring that I'll be able to continue to grow delicious and happy veggies for the rest of my life. I also see the farm as an opportunity to practice sustainable agriculture in all of its forms. Being a new farmer, there's MUCH I want to do!

Describe your product specialties and highlights:
As the name of the farm implies, I grow lettuce. So far, about 8 varieties. As I grow, I'll include many many more, including "foreign" varieties from countries outside the USA. I'm also focusing on "bread and butter" vegetables. That is, vegetables that everyone wants all the time. My customers seem to be more interested in the basics: lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, onions, squash, melons, herbs. The value that I add to this is the fact that instead of one or two varieties they might be able to find at the supermarket, I'll offer 8-12 different varieties!

Where we sell our products:
Due to a move to our new homestead, Cosmic Lettuce will not be in full operation until the Spring of 2006. Please check back often, though, since this might change depending on weather and growing conditions.
