Farm Description:
Grow Alabama started as a local CSA, Mt Laurel Organic Gardens in 1999. At a capacity of 200 members we began to include other farmers and expanded to 500 members in 2004. Grow Alabama is now an organic farm incubator program for the state with over 30 farmers involved and all seeking certification for over 1500 acres of Alabama farmland. Currently there are 0 certified acres in Alabama. Our intern program, called OrganiCorps, will accept about 10 interns this year to support the farmer's program, called Get One Over the Bridge. A farmer in this program is supported by Grow Alabama to successfully produce 1 or more acres of organically grown vegetables that are promised to be purchased by Grow Alabama while he/she works toward certification of the farm.

Practices:
We practice only certifiable organic/biodynamic farming techniques and our intention is to create successful organic farmers from the Get One Over the Bridge program, as well as from the OrganiCorps intern program. Please checkout the CSA, farming and intern programs on our website.

We also provide eggs and honey from our farm and milk from a local grass-fed dairy.
