Farm Description: We started farming here since 1997. We own 1.25 acres and rent an adjoining 8 acres. The soil is very sandy loam. We grow a little bit of a lot of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Practices: We have always farmed sustainably and without any non organic pesticides, fungicides, herbacides or fertilizers mainly because we live where we grow and eat it too. We grow most cover crops on purpose and many as accidents(immature crops of weeds). We make some of our own compost and purchase most of it commercially.
Describe your product specialties and highlights: We grow 12 varieties of avocados, over 50 varieties of tree fruit and hundreds of varieties of vegetables and herbs. We direct market through farmer's markets, resturants and participate in a local CSA. We sell and grow 52 weeks a year. We custom grow to meet the tastes and needs of our customers.
