Frame out the ends with
1X3s, attaching them to the cattle panels with plastic cable ties (drill
holes through the wood as needed) and screwing them to the base with drywall
type screws. We put a solid rear panel in (where nestboxes
will be installed in a few weeks, so that eggs can be collected from the
outside and hens can access them from the inside. Cover the ends
and the bottom couple of feet of the sides with chicken
wire.
Cover the top with a silver or white tarp, the best
quality you can afford for long life. Ours was 16 feet wide (perfect),
but about 4 feet longer than the hoop house was long, so we lashed some
6 foot lengths of 1X2 to the cattle panels at the "front" end
to hold out the extra as an awning. (The basketball hoop in the background
is optional.)
