The Story of Costa Rican Organic

In Turrialba

The Campos and four sons run a four hectare diversified organic farm just outside of Turrialba, a pleasant city in the lush Costa Rican interior highlands.

They grow lettuce, celery, cucumber, string beans, broccoli, beets, chayote and both sweet and cooking bananas for the local market. They also have two hectares in organic coffee, which is sold through a national association of organic coffee growers.

Guillermo and Norma Campos are pictured here in front of their organic tomatoes.
