organic-research.com: Vietnam’s Ninh Thuan
province is looking to trademark its organic grapes, reports
the Vietnam News Agency. Located in Southern Vietnam the
Ninh Thuan province is one of the largest grape producing
areas in the country including 60 hectares of organic
grapes, yielding around 800 tons per crop.
Phan Phu Rong, Deputy Director of the provincial Science,
Technology, and Environment Service (STES) said a research
program financed by STES has 14 projects on grape strains,
integrated pest management, post-harvest preservation
and processing, and use of organic fertilizers.
