Nebraska Governor takes administration's top ag position

Nebraska Gov. Mike Johanns has been chosen by
President Bush to assume the role of Secretary of Agriculture.
Johanns will replace first-term secretary Anne Veneman
who tendered her resignation shortly after the election.
Johanns was born in Iowa and raised on a dairy farm. At
54 Johanns, became a lawyer and served in county and city
government before becoming mayor of Lincoln, Neb., in
1991. He served as the states’ governor from 1998.
